Hello Lyrics

Hello, it's me
I was wondering if after all
These years you'd like to meet
To go over everything
They say that time's supposed to heal you
But I ain't done much healing

Hello, can you hear me
I'm in California dreaming
About who we...

It means that she's trying to reach out to someone, an old flame. But she broke this guy's heart, and she knows that he doesn't want to talk, because she's called a thousand times, and he seems to never be home. She just wants to say Hello.

The person who still loves her left to keep her safe. His memories have been suppressed. Part of those memories includes the pain of losing not just a life, but a life without her. Deep inside she has hope that he is out there overcoming his struggles and just wants to say, among other things, hello.

So it seems I am mot alone in thinking that someone died in relation to this song. However, I think our singer is the deceased, not the person she is singing to.

The lyrics support this numerous times. She sings about trying to call from the otherside. The person she is calling out to doesn’t hear her. Because she has moved to a new plane of existince. She has continuously called out because her existence is eternal in this state. It is possible they had an altercation before her death or had lost touch and there is much regret.

    It’s very sad.

This song is about to hold someone you love, and we will say hi, then when they’ll have time to go somewhere. That’s totally fine?

I think Adele is trying to reach out to someone, perhaps a lover who is dead. But no matter how much she tries, the living cannot reach out to the dead. Also"they say that time's supposed to heal ya, but I ain't done much healing" indicates that she finds it difficult to recover from the loss of that person even though it's been a while since she lost him

“‘Hello’ is just about reconnecting with everyone else and myself,” said Adele. “From the other side, I couldn’t get over my guilt of leaving my kid to go and write a record and stuff like that. So getting over that— getting on the other side of that. It was just, you know, it’s in general, just hello to everyone.”

Adele also went on to say that she sees the smash single as a way of saying “I’m still here,” to the world.

Adele is reaching out to the other side, which is a metaphor that describes the wall of permanent closure that exists between her and the person she once loved. It is as if she were trying to speak to the dead. She knows the futility of her outcry but persists anyway, because she hopes that someday her message will break through, and allow her the redemption she seeks for breaking his heart.

It is a tearful reminder of how I hope my ex will come to terms with what she has done. I too wish, that she will scream hello from the other side.

In my oppinion, she left someone for someonelse, but, the other person she either left or hated. Then, she is trying to reach back to that person, saying ''I'm sorry for breaking your heart'' but, this person won't accept, he's too wrapped in misery and grief. she calls as much as she can, ''I must have called a thousand times'', but, he's not forgiving her. He never picks up the phone, he's too angry with her.

First time I heard Adele's "Hello" I was left with the feeling that she was announcing her suicide. The video, however, left me thinking that he had died. The dusty furniture and calling from the other side, apologizing to your true love. It gave me goosebumps.

She is attempting to reach out to an ex. She is sorry for what went wrong but he won't listen or he may even be dead.

It means different things to different people. Everyone can relate to this at one time or another--if you've "really lived".

That Adele is trying to reach out to an old friend, maybe even though the friend that she is trying to reach out to is unavailable at the time.
