Skyfall Lyrics

This is the end
Hold your breath and count to ten
Feel the earth move and then
Hear my heart burst again
For this is the end
I've drowned and dreamt this moment
So overdue I owe them
Swept away, I'm stolen
Let the skyfall
When it...

Though the theme itself is catchy to me, and the melody somewhat harmonious. I can't help thinking the message is much darker and deeper than it seems, why else would it be so secretive?..I believe it is speaking of "the end battle" between God and men. The Armageddon, where whatever is left of the rebelious humanity will "together" unite to make a final "stand" against their enemy. "Heart bursting" refers to the second death these men will face once they are defeated by God. "let the sky fall, let it crumble" makes a reference to possibly challenging God coming down from heaven with fire from the sky. "you can have my number, you can have my name, but you'll never have my heart" What God wants is the heart of men, everything we do is written in a book in heaven, but that doesn't matter because men will not be justified by works, but by true faith in Jesus Christ.

It was Thomas Jefferson who said "When angry count to ten before you speak. If very angry, count to one hundred."

It is a very wise thing to say and even wiser to practice doing. It's obvious that "The End" is the theme of the song but it's not clear which end or who's end. Arguments have been made that the lyrics describe and follow the plot very closely. I'm going to have to go with a more personal interpretation simply because Adele wrote the lyrics, I think. And she's pretty smart.

I think it's possible she had a dream like the one I had a few nights ago. A dream in which you are hand in hand with someone moving toward what seems to be the edge of the earth and when you get there you are alone together with a wall behind you, watching the earth and sky plunge harmoniously down in a waterfall-like wonder. The only two left, just watching. Or not...

I could take it line for line instead because her lyrics seems to have a progression. It's a metaphor to "feel the earth move." I think it is a message for whoever she is going to be with as this all goes down. They need to hear her and trust her because she's experienced something of an end.

To drown inside a moment, to dream of that moment...it's not clear to whom she owes this message but she tells it and says it's overdue. Perhaps she could have seen it for a long time and has never spoken about it but now she's swept away by either it or someone who she will share the moment with. She'll steal away from everything to experience it. A dream?

The sky falls, the earth crumbles, and they are tall, huge, like the last ones, the only ones left. They are witnessing it all together. It's euphoric and terrible but somehow love seems to take the place of every other emotion. Like the feeling I had once when I visited Niagara with an ex on the maid of the mist, just experiencing something magnificent and powerful together. It's amazing.

    The next bit...
To start at the end as if there's hope of a future after the experience of it is a dreamers perspective. It would be nice to have the world to yourself, wouldn't it?
A thousand miles and poles apart is a very long distance for two hearts. The heart is where worlds collide and because of heartbreak the days may be dark, either figuratively or literally, depending on how far away they actually are.

The having her number, her name, and any other common thing refers to anyone but the one she wants with her. The one she loves. That's why you can't have her heart. Ever. I am guessing this is something she might have said before. It could be more about the story of bond but it could be a simple rejection to anyone but the one.

Then comes the ominous lines "where you go I go, what you see I see." To the one she loves, this is perfect. It means they are connected on a higher level. If it refers to bond, I've heard something else about it. Perhaps she needs the closeness of "your" loving arms, the one. She wouldn't be the same without that. The protection of her heart may even depend on it, for when they are together nothing can harm her. Even when standing together, hand in hand, as the whole world falls around them.

It's definitely different from what she's been doing. For all we know it could be a last goodbye. That reminds me, at the end of my dream, I kiss the one I'm with before I jump into it. I woke up not knowing whether or not she jumped too but we were holding hands. :)

Really, how can you listen to this and not know its about the end times. 4/4/2020 The earth is behaving very not normal, increased volcanic, and earthquake activity, worldwide virus, media lying and deflecting reality to steer people attention from the fact this planet is changing. No, they tell right to our face what is going to happen to us, they just use this medium. Not gonna tell on the TV.

I think this means some heavy shit man like the sky will fall down on us all. I think the elite have been messing around with the dome and it is breaking down and the dome may collapse and they don't want to admit it outright or it may cause a panic, so they are telling us in the song.
She says when it crumbles we will face it all together, she is basically saying that when the end comes we will all just face it and die together. The whole human race, crushed by the falling dome.
Wow heavy heavy shit man, check out flat earth theory, we live under a dome, and perhaps its breaking down according to this song.
Thats what it means the sky may fall on us.

The song is a coded message.

It's about how it's the end of the world and how she'll stand through it with "them" and how she's loyal to them then they betray her

I think this is a rad song about rad folks who die in the rad sea. The fucked up thing about it is that the dude came back for the dead and did some serious fucked up shit.

I believe that this theme song is not only telling us the story but weaving it in our minds. the song is brilliant and the story of the song is basically the script. the notes are very high and even then are very well moulded and don't "pop". that is my meaning.
