1994 Lyrics

This is where I broke my wrist
Where I thought I could fly
Thinking I was Superman
So you know you can't cry
Because I wanted to be just like them
And save my city from crime
I wanted to be just like them, just like them, just like...

1994 is him growing up. the when he said when the towers fell he meant the twin towers that killed a lot of people in September 11 2001. He show that the world is hard and has challenges to be come who you are today.

I think that 1994 means that the world lets you down all the time. In the song it said that santa isn't real and the superman can't fly. In my childhood super everyone want to be a superhero and that christmas was their favorite time of year because santa came, but now that we found out the truth those are no longer our favorite things anymore.

I LOVE ALEC! I think that 1994 was just about how he grew up. It my opinion, he could be saying how much the world has changed since then. “September‘S not the same place now, Same place now, same place, now.” Most songs are meant to be understood by the listeners interpretation. Alec is different, (which I love) so it might not, but this is what I think. Thank you for your opinion!

I love this song, and I think it means that Alec grew up while having his dreams crushed. Santa Claus just isn’t real, and Superman can’t fly. This is like just shutting down the outside of the box to try to get on the normal boring path, bet your must seek out of it to explore.
