Must Have Been the Wind Lyrics
At first I thought that I was dreamin'

This song is about a girl who is going through some things and her downstairs neighbor is worried, so he goes to check on her. The part where he says "sweater zipped up to her chin" means she was hiding her bruises or what she or someone else has done to her. He goes back downstairs and he thinks about it, so he goes back up to her place and checks to make sure she's okay because he don't want to leave her alone if she's not okay. Then he goes back downstairs and plays lean on me just so she knows she has a friend to talk to and lean on, and if she still don't want to talk about it, then he'll leave her alone and say that it must have been the wind.

The song is about a bit who heard glass shattering and crying from the apartment above his. He goes to see what happened and a girl, supposedly the one who was crying, opened up and said that nothing happened, but the boy knows otherwise. After he leaves, he heard the noises and goes to check again, but the girl keeps denying anything happened. So the boy plays Lean On Me so that the girl knows she can trust him. He assures the girl that he will help her and she can tell him when she's ready, but he won't tell anyone unless she wants him to.
