The above interpretations are good, but look deeper. The song is all those things, but also about back-stabbing, and the blatant deferral of responsibility, which is so common in our age. "This went wrong entirely because of you, and you should now 'shoulder the blame'" and the complete lack of "team play" once things get rough. We've all had friends or family do this to us at one time or another.
