   This album came out before the Iraq war so it couldn't be about that. Likely the BNL went on a media tour of the Former Yugoslavia with the Canadian Forces. They are writing about how little the rest of the world cared about what was happening in the Balkans. Celebrities and media would fly in for a hot story and then leave without making any significant impact on the issues. They will live with the knowledge of what they saw and struggle with the fact the rest of the world didn't really care.

   I think it’s about the Iraq War. I mainly say this is relation to the other song on this album called “Sell, Sell, Sell.” At first I thought it was about Vietnam as many suggested, but the lyrics “the world loves its irony” refers to how much people glorified the “War on Terror” thing.
