She Walked Away Lyrics

She couldn't take one more day
Home was more her prison now
Independence called out
She had to get it

A fight was all she needed
To give her reason
She slammed the door with no goodbye
And knew that it was time

Now she's driving too...

Behind the Song:''This song was written for a friend of ours--actually, it was more for our friend’s parents whose child had run away. It was amazing to see the parents’ response to something like this. Because sometimes you just hear that the child couldn’t take it, so they left. But you never really see the parents’ side—their faces, praying to God, “Lord, I love my child. Let them come home.” And God showed us that this is how He is with His children and has that same desperation in His heart. The prodigal son story describes that desperation. Our biggest cry in this song is to reach out to those that haven’t talked to God in a while, who may feel distant from Him and don’t know if He’ll take them back.' -Alyssa Barlow (BarlowGirl)

I think it is talking about a girl who was having prkblems at home hints "home felt more like a prison now" and indenpendace was the only way out and her way to her full potental. But with this FrEedom she probably gave up her familys beliefs (which often happens when they start thinking for themselves) also that the person talking didnt really know why she leftand the rest is about the broken hearted family asking God to bring her back and the part about you tell me how the story ends is probably the authors talking to a friend who did this.so tHats just my thoughts.
