Beatles: Anna (Go to Him) Meaning
Song Released: 1963
Anna (Go to Him) Lyrics
You come and ask me, girl
To set you free, girl
You say he loves you more than me
So I will set you free
Go with him
Go with him
Anna
Girl, before you go now
I want you to know now
That I still love you so
But if he loves you...
-
It is a song about a guy who is told by his girl Anna that she doesn't love him anymore because she found someone new, He's heartbroken because she is the kind of girl he's been waiting for, for a very long time and now that she is leaving, he wants to know "What am I supposed to do" He lets he go with a broken heart but askes for the engagement ring he gave to her back, because she doesn't deserve to wear it.
