Oh! Darling Lyrics

Oh! darling, please believe me
I'll never do you no harm
Oh! darling, if you leave me I'll never make it alone
Believe me when I beg you don't ever leave me alone
(Believe me darling)

When you told me you didn't need me anymore
Well you...

Paul wrote it for John. It's obvious. He sings "Johnny" a couple of times. He didn't want John to leave and break the band.

This song is about some girl (I think Jane Asher) which break up from Paul and told him she doesn't need him anymore and Paul got depressed because of it...

The song is about John. This song was written by Paul right around the time Yoko was getting divorced from her first husband. Paul didn't want to lose John to that life sucker Yoko Ono. If you listen really closely, at the 2 minute, 48 second mark, he actually sings Oh, Johnny!!!
