   My interpretation of this song is this:
   
   The boy lived a life pretending to be someone he was not, easily influenced by others, submitted to peer pressure, the like. 'Boy who always did what he was told'
   
   He was raised with the thought that obedience was key... until he gets into a car accident. His life flashes before his eyes. 'Hit the brakes, Hit the glass, Time to shake the hands of fate. The mistakes of the past, Flashed before his face'
   
   Assume the boy's twenty years old. As he's unconscious, he has almost an epiphany, about his life, how he's led it. He wakes up in the intensive care unit, ready to start anew. 'There is a man, intensive care When he awakes he will declare, "I've been dead for 20 years! I won't let 20 more go by..."'
   
   He completely starts over, a new, changed man; think Pheonix rising from the ashes of its predecessor. 'Burn the evidence... of my existence, Clear the ashes on the ground Burn the evidence... of all these things, That pull my spirit down'

   On my oppinion, this is the story of a now adult man, who always followed the expectations of others and never lived according to his own path ("Boy who always did what he was told".
   Now he realized that after some near-death experience (There is a man, intensive care) and wants to change his live ("I've been dead for 20 years! I won't let 20 more go by...").
   To link him and the boy with each other, they fit the boys sentences right after that ("Boy who always did what he was told, bought the only dream that he was sold").
   This says, that this boy "bought" the only dream that was sold to him. A fixed path for his future, "sold" from his parents or some other persons, like his friends or teachers. I guess "fate" is the nickname for this.

   I think It's about a boy, who, as the lyrics state, always did what he was told, and was the perfect model student, but when he hit a pedestrian, he committed hit and run, and basically shaked the hands of fate

   This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

   I beleive this song is about kids in other countrys being manipulated for suicide bombing.
   
   "In a garage, beside a house, there is a luxury Sedan

   -this refers to the car the person is going to
   
   "Boy who always did what he was told,
   was promised to be king when he was old"
   -this refers to the the kid being promised that if he does this, he will be king
   
   "Hit the brakes, hit the glass,
   Time to shake the hands of fate
   The mistakes from the past,
   Flashed before his face"
   -this describes the actuall explosion which was ignited by hitting the brakes
