The song is about nuclear technology gone bad. Not only is Godzilla radioactive, but Japan was devastated by two atomic bombs at the end of WW2. In wake of the Fukushima disaster, this song takes on new life about “the folly of man”.

I think this song is about how mankind is destroying the environment. Godzilla picking up buses and stuff represents the blatant disregard of nature, and Godzilla is supposed to represent human beings, and what they are doing to the world.

If you think it's literally just about Godzilla you clearly haven't listened to the whole thing. Ever notice the last line repeated SEVERAL times?... "History shows again and again how nature points out the folly of man"... That means something very true for sure. It's up to you to figure it out.

I think this has to do with the American president at the time bringing terror over the country they just used the metaphor of the legendary lizard godzilla. picking up cars and busses etc. would be taxes and such

This song is about the giant lizzard, Godzilla. If you don't know who he is, go wiki it.
