Brent Faiyaz: Rolling Stone Meaning
Song Released: 2022
Rolling Stone Lyrics
-
My interpretation of this track is that honesty from what someone was made into being to the point that even an apology may not be sincere. Trying to do what is known as the right thing only to end up doing the wrong thing everytime from the never ending cycle of hopelessness as brent identifies with what people care about for the sake of success but still defines himself in this track as nothing as the money and the fame doesnt matter to him. Its just nice to haves to get where hes trying to be which is out of the way but the fame wont allow it. As fanatics are willing to do anything for fame in the hopes it leads to fortune. Especially the women he is dealing with only want the title and prestige of messing with someone who is famous and or has financial success and the shallowness of it all is in fact justified as he is made into the villian just for being honest where the general game which others who glorify this lifestyle thats being played is deception.
