   for me it's about betrayal. which i have been thru. issues with being bullied back in my what was my hometown of Fort Atkinson and that gave anger issues and had a tendency of lashing out Not to mention many other psychological issues (the biggest one being depression) and I Didn’t want to do it but I couldn’t control myself and they also betrayed me and my family. they said if i just followed their orders and just not said anything that everything would be crapping roses on easy street. but what i didn't know is they were just stalling so they could bring me down to the point where I'd finally snap. But one day moved from fort Atkinson to Platteville and I was given a chance to to have a second chance but I had to cut (mostly emotional and social) ties with some people who were friends with me there and especially a girl I grew close to and I will never see my crush from fort Atkinson again and giving up in dating or trying to find that kind of companionship. Because I know it’s just going to be the same thing and that there will be a fight and we will be forced to split up again and I would feel these emotions a second time I’m still haunted by my past actions of having to fight back against theme causes I didn’t want to fight back but I had no choice or they would probably injure me or my friends in some way and I wanna forget about them I know I will never get forgiveness or be able to apologize to them from those from fort but I strive for redemption but I hate myself for wanting forgiveness and apologize to them after everything they did to me that’s another reason this song hits me so hard and I remember everything that happened to me (hell even have dreams about it) and I will never forget the hell they put me through and I still want redemption in some way from them but I hate myself for wanting that. after everything they have done to me and after they betrayed me and my family.

   this song is about how real friends stab you in the front, as in that even true friends will hurt you but they won't hide it or do it in a way to intentionally hurt you, this is about the people who know they are going to hurt you but try to keep it from you, and after you find out, they want to be forgiven, like the lyric "i wouldn't hold my breath if i was you" and "ill forget but never forgive you" basically means that you shouldn't wait/count on it happening. and also that they can build up all of this drama but they can't handle being blamed for you being hurt "you got a lot of nerve but not a lot of spine" there's more lyrics that support this but i don't want to have to explain them all

   In my opinion, I'd say that this song is about someone who was a friend/lover and one day they just snapped and was horrible to the person/ did something to hurt them. "It's kinda sad cause what we had, well it could've been something, I guess it wasn't meant to be" shows that he's finally got over it or showing the 'friend' that things weren't his fault and that he doesn't really care anymore. I genuinely can really relate to this song

   I think this song is not really about true friends but about backstabbing friends also related to fake friends and two faced friends as in the song it says "true friends stab you in the front" as in saying fake friends stab you in the back also in the song it says "its funny how things worked out such a bitter irony its like i kick right to the teeth" as in saying things happened the opposite of what he had expected and is basically saying something but means another thing also comparing it to something else to show that it hurts when it cpmpared his pain like a kick right to the teeth so this song is basically about backstabbing friends and the person isn't forgiving them
