   Don't fall for the catchy tune! do not be deceived. the song is clear: his paradise is with the earth. He wants to just stay here on earth forever and have freedom to have sex and live to please himself. young generations i plead with you not to take this road. do not sucome to the pop generation of music and mindlessly listen to music. Recognize that this song, although very catchy, has a very dark approach to it. Know that there is more than this earth and more than our fleshy desires.    M've interpreted this song differently, I agree that hes singing about being so sexually attracted to a woman, like so fascinated by her sex. He says "your sex takes me to paradise" and now that he's discovered this he feels like he's been "locked out heaven for too long". Like as if she's taken him to heaven (in a sexually spiritual way) and he hasn't experienced sex like this with anyone else. Its kinda hard to eexplain.

    To me this song Is about a young love life looking for love,seeking joy,fun and happiness.
    
    I agree with the first one above me at some point.
    
    It's about feeling sexually attracted to someone you just can't get enough of.(Your sex takes me to paradise) The sex is so good and intense. It's when you can't focus about anything else, but sex, sex, sex. but you feel (locked out of heaven) that the sex is something spiritual to you.
    
    You love being with that person and enjoying the sex that takes you to paradise with your partner. But at times when your in a relationship, you want to have fun and hang out with your buddies sometimes. You feel like your (Locked out of heaven).

    This is a very catchy down to earth old-school classic 80's hit song. The video appears to be a little different because of some fans not wanting this his girlfriend in the video. He is in love with having sex with a women. Of course I'm assuming he is talking about his now time girlfriend "Jessica Caban" hes been with a little over a year that is on "Locked Out of Heaven" single cover. Her sex takes him to paradise. Although, It makes him feel like he is locked out of heaven. He feels very wrong that he is so fascinated in having sex with her. But that doesn't mean he does or doesn't love her.
