Judas Lyrics

The time has finally come, you get a mouth full.
You only act on greed and by your actions this is proof.
And you can't see all the flowers dyin' all around you?
Go'cha hands in the devil's pockets
Got everything to lose

And so you lash...

Seems to me like a song about corruption.

"And you can't see all the flowers dyin' all around you?
Go'cha hands in the devil's pockets
    Got everything to lose"
^Saying that everything good is dying because he's abusing his money to get power

    "And so you lash out
    To crush the ones below
All the ones that you fear most
And you call this crowd control"
^ Kinda hard to describe; I'd say it means by taking out those under you you keep your power

    "The fire in your veins
Is just a joke you tell yourself
Another way to cut the cost
Hide your face from all the guilt"
^ He's trying to shrug off how he feels just to keep in control

"And it's a shame to have to say
You had to kill to gain control
But at least you made some money
Hey, let the good times roll"
^ He had to take out those who stood in his way and he's still trying to shrug it off

"Oh my, the greed has now consumed you
Your eyes fade as you fall into the ocean
You move fast to feed your lust for money
You dive down now you're caught in the commotion
All this and you trade it in for nothing
A cheap lie you put it in your pocket
All this yeah you trade it in for nothing
Oh my I can see your heart has met its end"
^ The bridge... a very powerful one too. Lying and cheating your way to the top, trying to get away but failing... and still just trying to shrug off all the good inside to keep the power

    "Say hello to Judas!
    Say hello to Judas!
    Say hello to Judas!
    Say hello to Judas!
    Say hello to Judas!
    Say hello to Judas!
    Say hello to Judas!
    Ah-ah..."
^ Symbolic meaning. I don't read the bible but I /think/ Judas betrayed Jesus for money or power...? I'm not very certain on that. Can someone please explain?
