This avoids the stress of falling out of it
Are you tired of me yet? I'm a little sick right now but I swear
When I'm ready I will fly us out of here
Ooh... I'll cut my hair

I have actually researched the meaning of the song and it is indeed about a transgender male. It says 'cut my hair' and 'hide my chest' indicating he (the character in the song/story) is trying to become more masculine looking and trying to feel more themselves. It talks about struggling to find his identity when it says 'he doesn't know who he is yet' but by the end of the song it says 'but strangely he feels at home in this place' indicating he has finally transitioned. I think it's sort of a song about what he is thinking as he transitions, and the 'feels at home in this place' is talking about his body when he has completed transitioning.

I believe “Home” by Cavetown is the interpretation of someone void of love. Constantly trying to have relationships work out for him but consistently it seems to fall through. I believe when Robbie says “I’ll cut my hair and hide my chest to figure out a way to get us out of here” I think it’s speaking to oneself. Like rockstar by nickel back. I’ll change everything to achieve this.
I’ll trade my looks, remove my pride and open my heart if it means I can just have love.
Getting a load of a monster/Trainwreck is inner thoughts saying to just leave it be. Let your mind rest. Don’t put yourself into another stressful or toxic situation. Welcoming stars implying that those around him care but not in the way he needs or even more at face value “the stars” are the dark creeping night that we look at. Connecting to SODYs bedroom Ceiling song. When we are alone at night. The sky is all that’s left. Finally
“I’m a little sick right now but I swear when I’m ready I will fly us out of here.”
Is implying someone wanting to be better and promises themselves saying I’m sick. I know this. I’m hurting. But when I’m ready I promise I’ll save us. Similar to KALEOS save yourself. Meaning at the end of the day. You are what matters. And are worthy of people who equally care about you

I think it's a trans male coming to realize that he feels uncomfortable in his body, the lines "I'll cut my hair" and "I'll hide my chest" cutting hair and chest binding help with dysphoria and he's passing, but some kid find this out and bully him hence the lines "Get a load of this train wreck" and "Get a lot of this monster" kids making fun of him, and either a friend or someone else standing up for him. He starts feeling happy and comfortable with himself.
This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway
