   This song emphasizes how he deeply misses someone who is no longer with him in life, a girl who left his life and most likely expired. He's still madly in love with her and the only way in which he can be with her is in his dreams, the onply place where he can truly be happy because in a way his brain makes him beliieve that they are still together, that nothing in reality matters as long as they are in their dreamland. Therefore, he doesnt want anyone to wake him up as he constantly repeats the lines with much robust passion, "Don't wake me up"., because he simply wishes not to wake up, to stay there with his love.

   This song is about being unsure wheather someone loves you or not.So chris is deeply in love with this girl and the things she do for chris seems to be good but chris doubt this relationship because of different reasons.At the end of the video chris fell over the cliff which represent suicide.Chris mean if it's not real love and the girl is pretending then she must continue and never let him see her dark evil side.This decision will defenetly hurt him.if this love only exist in my dreams(not real) don't wake me up(fool me so i will never know and won't be hurt.
