    It definitely has a ‘beat to the sound of your own drum’ vibe to me, an usher to live freely and fully, without the “humdrum” of fast-moving society. It it quite a lovely song, and I love how it’s mystic (and slightly witchy vibe) give it a fun and magical tone.

    I noticed it actually has a reference to the poem “Jabberwocky” by Lewis Carroll for whoever is interested. It’s on the line about “slight toves” and “borogoves”.

    I don't know why, but I always thought of it as sung by a supervillain with a sort of nihlistic view on society trying to convince someone to join him in his safe place as he destroys the world. One that believes the world will be better, without greed and anger, once he's built it again from the ground up.
    This probably isn't the true meaning, but it's the way I listen to it I guess!

    I first heard this song a couple of days ago...but it was the Pentatonix version, and my first thought was "this sounds like what Terrence McKenna would describe as "the mushroom speaking". I then looked to see who wrote the song and found it was Cosmo Sheldrake, and immediately felt it was likely that he was related to Rupert Sheldrake, and quickly confirmed this with a google search. Can't help but think this lends credence to my "theory" on the meaning here, as Rupert Sheldrake and Terrence McKenna knew each other well. I just adore these lyrics and am infinitely intrigued by the idea of them being "mushroom wisdom" :)

    I feel like this song is about enjoying life to it's fullest...but also the hope that it will "rise again". Like reincarnated- especially when it states "where the two ends meet again". It's subtle...but absolutely an anthem for how to live many lives...like how it talks about running away to a place free from "greed anger and boredom". I feel a symbolism of death when it references a "rare specimen of a hesitant skeleton" - meaning the death cycle (of life) is but a short 'vacation' from life....especially when it says "there's no time to waste or time to throw away"! Our journey NEVER ENDS!!!!

    It sounds and reads like a song Peter Pan would sing to lure the Lost Boys, especially the part about "Once we're fed we shall disappear rapidly
    Many moons to the west of here and happily
    Our journey never ends" which echoed for me like Peter saying to Wendy, "second star on the right and straight on til morning."

    It’s a brilliant and sly, joyful anthem to mortality. Life is brief; get your asses moving and live each moment fully. The lyrics are poetic, the music irresistably infectious.
