   To me, this tune is about two friends or a couple who, for whatever reason, went their separate ways, perhaps against their own wishes. But there is hope that they will meet again sooner or later, in a way that makes it seem that the time apart didn't even matter.

   Dave has no trouble naming songs, dilrods like you have trouble interpreting them, before his sister died (contrary to popular belief) he wrote this song putting it on a demo tape that he gave to LeRoi, Jane liked the song, one of his 5 at the time, so naturally after her death, he named it after her.

   Why does everyone think he has trouble naming his songs?? Just because some are numbers? Actually that's called creativity, just like naming a song "Song That Jane Likes". Dave doesn't do anything by the book, and that's why he's the best.
