   To me, it reads like two things. The first is the certain type of paranoia ("you're never gonna find me") that leads people into a life of solitude, and the inevitable struggles with loneliness ("no beloved to comfort me") and depression ("heart of silence, softly breaking") that that invites. The other is actual contemplation of suicide as the ultimate way out, which is pretty explicitly and unambiguously stated with, "sweet departure is what I long for" ("departure" is a common euphemism for death).
   
   The interesting thing is the bridge in the refrain, "If I offer you my soul, will you carry me away? I cannot be the only one to be dehumanized again". Taken with "careless moments to comfort me" it could be suggestive of a subconscious desire to get better and connect with people, but it could also be read as reinforcing the contemplating suicide angle. It seems to have been pretty thoughtfully constructed, no matter how you slice it.

   This song is, as says David Draiman, about the "cold, callous nature of the world." He's talking about humanity's evil nature, and that the singer is asking god to carry him away, how he doesn't want to be dehumanized again.
