Streets Lyrics

(Chorus)
Like you
Like you
Like you, ooh
I found it hard to find someone like you
Like you
Like you
Send your location, come through
(Post chorus)
I can't sleep no more
In my head, we belong
And I can't be without you
Why can't I find...

This first part she’s singing is about a dude who didn’t appreciate his lady. She went through the motions and held him down, but knew something was missing deep down inside that he wasn’t able to fulfill. Second part when she switches up her flow is about the real man that stepped in and loved her down right-on all levels, emotionally, mentally, physically, psychologically, financially-you name it-the “rare” breed...a real man doesn’t have any punk in him, yet can still love his lady down right. Respect her. Be so absolutely in love with her. Morph into one...this song is deeper than you think!!

I feel like it’s that version of her man in her head contrasted with the man in Reality. The potential for a deep connection, but always thwarted by games and emotional unavailability. That push pull relationship that never quite gets there. You leave and come back over and over.

It is obviously talking about a guy who to her he is just plain amazing. Later on, it says "Cause you're a one in a million, There ain't no man like you" She is well aware there are 3.8 billion men out in the world, yes she won't find someone like him and she can't seem to get over this guy, but still at the end she knows he is only one guy and she has to move on

It says that there’s two men, one who didn’t respect his lady and two who loved her on all levels. But I say it was a love and hate, jealous, toxic type of relationship.
