    The song is about a groupie that follows the band around on tour..... I think that part is kind of obvious.

    "Blue jean baby, L.A. lady, seamstress for the band
    pretty eyed, pirate smile, you'll marry a music man"
    and
    "Lay me down in sheets of linen"

    Both make me think of Yoko Ono. The first part seems like a physical description of her and the "linen" part almost sounds like Lennon, and the thought of Yoko and John in bed announcing their dreams about peace and whatnot. I dunno... haha, it's dumb, but that part has always just made me think of them.

    Anyway, it's a beautiful song. It reminds me of my best friend who he moved away not too long ago. Elton is so cool.
