Emeli Sande: Read All About It (Part III) Meaning

Song Released: 2012
Read All About It (Part III) Lyrics
but you're biting your tongue
You've spent a life time stuck in silence
afraid you'll say something wrong
If no one ever hears it how we gonna learn your song?
So come, on come on
Come on, come...

#1 top rated interpretation:I think Emile is talking to people about them having anxiety. They will find it hard to talk to people about it. It might not be the same for all people, but as I have suffered myself, I know that I found it hard. I really love this song, it’s just so thoughtful!!

#2 top rated interpretation:I think that she is trying to get people to stand up for what they believe in. She is trying to encourage people to not sit in silence and to speak out. However she could also be speaking about people who may be shy or anxious about a hidden talent they might have and would prefer not to share. The same way she may be speaking to people who have something really important to say, but don't want to.
Whatever she may be trying to say it is a heartfelt and song that has an emotional effect on you. -

#3 top rated interpretation:" You've got a heart as loud as lions so why let your voice be tamed. Baby we're a little different, there's no need to be afraid."
I take this as the person she is singing about is such a great person, but he (or she) just isn't brave enough to show her true colors. The person that she is talking about is not as cliche as everyone else so that person is assumedly dissappointed with the way he or she is.
"There's no need to be afraid, I will sing with you my friend"
The singer is supporting the person of interest, telling her not to be intimidated; Emeli is stating that she will be there for the person.
" I wanna scream till the words dry out. So put it in all of the papers', I'm not afraid. They can read all about it."
I assume the Emeli doesn't care what people have to think about her (negatively, anyways) so she is stating that everyone can know how she feels and she doesn't care. -
I think this song is about racism. How white people should use their voice to help. That we can all come together.

She is trying to stir the potential in our mind especially people who are shy or afraid to express their ideas...our heart is as loud as lion ....this means will have this willing spirit of braveness but often times the anxieties would fallow this heart potential..Now I'm not afraid they can read about us ..it means I have to purge myself of my emotion...A light to fight the shadow..this means we have what it takes to handle circumstances...
-
The song is about depression and influencing people to speak out. It explains that we all have our own struggles in life but can support one another in order to deal with them. It refers to a person who can not see their own potential due to their current mental state.

Scottish people who need to wake up and grab back the Independence of their Nation. I think Emily may well agree !
-
I think it's about standing up for what you believe in and not shying away because everyone has an inner talent even if they can't see it. Everyone is unique and that's what makes us who we are and what makes us one of a kind

I think it is about shy people.

I think it's about maybe a friend or family with selective mutism which is where they only speak to mainly only there mom and dad cause they are scared and just can't speak when others are around that's why in her lyrics she is saying "you've spent your life time STUCK in silence afraid you will say something wrong " and other lyrics like that it seem she like all the lyrics are based on that
