Likes of you Again Lyrics

Here's to you, I sing for my daddy-o
As I lay him down to sleep
It's been so long, since I lost my daddy-o
Hope he's watchin' over me

Wednesday night is mornin' now
As I'm walkin' in the rain
The birds are screaming in my ear...

I can imagine, by the intro, that his father in question had specifically asked Dave not to write a sad song in his memory... So he made sure it wasn't THAT sad :P

What is especially peculiar about this song is the sad message of David's late father combined with the high spirited/jaunty melody. The mixing of these two extremes, combining of the two polar emotions makes for a more powerful impact on the song.

Yep....it's about Dave King's late father....the intro is for sure.

But I like this song for the reason that in our lives we'll all meet characters! People are different and, sometimes, so unique that you feel privelaged to know/have known them....

Personally, I want this song to be played when they are sticking my sorry arse in the ground!
