Everlong Lyrics

Hello
I've waited here for you
Everlong

Tonight
I throw myself into
And out of the red, out of her head she sang

Come down
And waste away with me
Down with me

Slow how
You wanted it to be
I'm over my head, out of her head she...

I think this song is about smoking pot,
"breathe out so I can breathe you in" is a shotgun where people share smoke
"if everything could feel this real forever"
its about hallucinations and euphoria caused by smoking pot

This song is about one thing...sex. Many of Foo Fighters songs involve sex or oral sex, this is another example. It's a love song, about becoming 'one' with someone, and about being so deeply in love and in tune with that person. "Breathe out so I can breathe you in" blatantly about sex, "come down and waste away with me", "promise not to stop when I say when" it's a beautiful song, one of my favorites :)

I really think Dave Grohl had other inspirations for his music other than Kurt Cobain....

Practically every Foo's lyric meaning I've read reckons it about Kurt Cobain its probably not if songs refer to being close to someone it could be anyone that means a lot to him not just Kurt.

    " And I wonder
When I sing along with you
If everything could ever feel this real forever
If anything could ever be this good again "

    "you" = Kurt Cobain.
And if you read the rest of the lyrics, you can see it.
    Quite sad actually.

I need to know what people think about this song. Could it be that we focus on the good parts of a relationship and hope the bad times will never come, however we brace ourselves for it, and perhaps wait for it to happen therefor making our relationships sour by waiting for things to go wrong?? Help me out..
