February Stars Lyrics

I'm hanging on
here until I'm gone
I'm right where I belong
just hanging on

verse 1

even though
I watched you come and go
how was I to know
you'd steal the show

one day ill have enough to gamble
ill wait to hear your final...

I think it’s about stars. He keeps mentioning stars. Stars, stars, stars, stars! Stars are suns. Stars are much too hot to handle, no way anyone could ever hang on to a star. There are also many stars, billions of them. They are far away though. Even the closest star is far away. Someday, all of the stars will burn out.

This song means a lot to me. It has helped me with so much. In my opinion Dave was suffering of the loss of Kurt Cobain. As many have stated prior. Kurt's birthday was in February, this song is a grief for the beloved Kurt Cobain. And although Dave won't ever read this stuff, he's not alone, we are all here for him, for his music has done so much for me. Thank you Dave.

I think, it was about kurt,,I think Dave tried to shelter kurt, from the sudden success, and all the bad that comes with it,,more money more problems, ,how ever it is a very heart wrenchin song,,

I think it has to do with Kurt Cobain. Kurt was born in February, Dave and Kurt were great friends, it's all possible. It's probably about how Dave wishes he was able to save Kurt from his death.

This song is... loneliness, despair, apathy and most of all it's about bitterness. When you build a wall, you're distancing yourself from that person. This creates bitterness. I dont know why the writer was bitter but I know distance very well. The climax illustrates his bitterness.

It's about making a mistake. About never truly being forgiven for that mistake. About the illusion everything is ok but it's not. The walls are there to hang onto and a reminder that you will never be on the other side of that wall, no matter what you do.

To me it's about bittersweet survival after losing the one you love the most.

My college sweetheart, and wife for over 20 years, recently died of a rare, aggressive cancer. Her birthday was in February. This song captures a lot of it.

Its about a relationship where one person will do anything for the other and they just don't see it

Well, This Song Is About Hanging On By The Tip Of You Fingers And Not Letting Go... Like A Relationship Problem??? But To Be Honest Its Seems Like He Wants To Be More Than Friends. But Hes Scared To Tell Her About Her Feelings Because She May Not Execept It. But He Would Do Anything For He He'd Build Walls For Her
