Foster the People: Pseudologia Fantastica Meaning
Song Released: 2014
Pseudologia Fantastica Lyrics
A psychotropic wanderlust, sick and laughing
Their words bared their teeth into the wall
I promised I would rid the world of feral animals
I see you smiling with your feet up like your heroes
You'd off yourself...

Maybe it's saying current capitalist culture is more or less a pathological liar...we are all laboring blind for a system that is just greed cloaked in the idea of civilization. That's what the video seems to be saying. The wolf represents greed, "wolfed it down" and it becomes dictator. The spiritual being is truth, or spirituality or both.

I think that in this song, he is talking about a girl that left him and never came back. I know the music video doesn't add up to it, but "Pseudologia Fantastica" is a lying disorder and in the song he says "why'd you say that you'd come right back for my love for my strength all the promises you made never realized" this to me means that she promised him lots of things to return was one of them, but she didn't and he's still waiting.

In psychiatry, pseudologia fantastica, also called mythomania, compulsive lying or pathological lying, is a behavior of habitual or compulsive lying. It was first described in the medical literature in 1891 by Anton Delbrueck. Although it is a controversial topic, pathological lying has been defined as "falsification entirely disproportionate to any discernible end in view, may be extensive and very complicated, and may manifest over a period of years or even a lifetime".The individual may be aware they are lying, or may believe they are telling the truth, being unaware that they are relating fantasies.its basically about a pathological liar
