    How people can't interpret these lyrics is beyond me! It's clearly about an over-zealous female fan of his. He's telling her to "get down" and that she's a "bad dog, baby", just like he would in a command to a canine pet, but this is not in the literal sense! He doesn't want her pawing him (pardon the pun!) and he explains, "keep your hands to yourself, I'm strictly out of bounds". But, being his fan, he still wants her around, hence the "but I still want you around" part of the song! Simples!

    The person who wrote this comment must have been on some very powerful substance. Seems very unlikely that a person of his talent would write and sing about a dog. I can remember when the song came out ,I still have the original LP. Ps stay off the silly fags for a bit.

    This old pop song might have been about his dog, but also it seems obvious in symbolic forms that she has two legs that could jump. I mean, lets be real, imagine being a famous Pop Star in the 60's and 70's like GILBERT O'SULLIVAN, the Beatles,the Rolling Stones etc., who were like The Cat on a hot tin roof with all of those screaming fans[girls], idolizing their idols. What do you think some of them would or did do when they were close enough and given the opportunity, they would've jumped all over them and sometimes did that had to be told to ''Get Down'' off them,especially when on stage by a song to ''keep their distance, respect and dignity'' and nothing more than that.
