Medicine Lyrics

[Charlie Scene:]
Oh no, how’d I sink so low?
Ain’t got the patience, I need my medication
I need to crawl out, out of this hole now
Before the darkness grabs a hold and takes my soul now

[Danny:]
And it just goes on and on and on
On and...

I hate how people think its based on a Creepy pasta song. Its clearly not. If that's what they wanna think then they can. Im just saying, I know its not. All I wanted to say, Thanks for explaining the meaning everyone!

It's says "who need a ghost man" it's talking about the holy Ghost. I this they got so far down a druggie path that they have forsaken God.

I think its about the life of a drug abuser when he says Now it's 5 o'clock on the phone again
Think I'mma need another prescription hes talking to his doctor and asking for more meds that he doesnt need that takes him down the dark path of overdosing and how i'd sink so low is him saying how did i get so low that all i have left is drugs

I believe this song to be a prescription drug addiction and "I think imma need another prescription" is talking about faking mental illness to get medication to overdose on. I take the song to be a viewpoint of someone who is delusional and strung out on whatever pills they're being prescribed

This song is definitely about an addiction, as others have touched on. Odds are it is about heroin. Doc is, naturally, his dealer. Medicine refers to the drug.
What I love about this song is just how sad the mood is, it captures addiction pretty well.
"I need to crawl out of this hole now/before the darkness grabs a hold and takes my soul out." The addiction has been acknowledged, he realizes that he needs to stop.
"It goes on and on and on..." This is actually how addiction feels. It drags on for what seems like ages.
"Even when I hate it/Still wanna like it" This is my evidence for it being about Heroin. Heroin addiction is often described this way. It becomes a part of you. Also, it feels damn good. You love it, but eventually hate being dependanton it, both physically and emotionally.

Darkness could represent reality and medicine could be what gets them out of reality. They're addicted to ignoring reality and even if they hate knowing they're ignoring it they want to just like it, and even if they can't escape reality completely they still try.

Or it could just be about, you know, heroin...

the song is completely about his addiction to heroin. The doc is his dealer he always needs to call and his medicine is heroin. "Voices in my head again" is a simptom of drugs. "Even when I hate it, I still wanna like it" he doesn't want to have this problem but he does and he can't stop himself. "I know you don't know me but I know you supply it" you can tell how bad he wants more. Toward the end of the song, he starts to sing a better way to explain the song, sounding needy.

'Medicine' is supposed to be drugs. The idea of Danny being 'sick' metaphorically describes his addiction, and how he cannot live without his drugs. 'I ain't got a dollar but I still try to buy it' is self explanatory. The songs describes a drug addict wanting his hit.
