Cry With You Lyrics

"Cry With You"

When you try not to look at me
Scared that I'll see you hurting
You're not hiding anything, no
And frankly it's got me worried
Nobody knows you better than I do
I keep my promises, I'm fighting for you

You're not...

I think it is not just about a boyfriend but a guy that is a friend. I dont have a big brother but i have a friend that i feel this song applies to. Not being the most trusting person i know that i trust him. And frankly he knows me better then anyone else. And i know no matter how much we go through or how far we go from each other. He will always have my back. And i can't even begin to count how many times he has seen me cry or heard me sob over the phone. this is the kind of friendship every girl needs from a guy. trusting and loving with no judgement added

This song hits a personal note for me. After suffering from depression, and having my boyfriend by my side, I see this song as representing a similar relationship. It is saying that it's okay to feel sad and to cry and that even if he can't help you feel better, he's still there. No matter what you tell him or no matter how you feel at the time, he will still love you. This was a huge thing for keeping me and my boyfriend together, since I constantly couldn't explain my feelings to him because I didn't understand them myself, but simply knowing he was there to listen was a weight lifted off my shoulders. The last thing anyone wants depression to do is tear apart your relationship, and I feel this song is about reassuring the partner that this won't happen.

I think its about people who will try to hide their feelings inside and have nobody to tell, but they will always be able to tell him because even if he doesn't have the best advice he will always be here and listen.

I think this song means no matter how tough the things are that the girl is going through, she always has him to count on. He's trying to make it clear that she can tell him anything and that she doesn't have to be strong for him.
"You're not alone, I'll listen 'till your tears give out."
I think this line means that he'll listen and help her until she can't take it anymore and finally tells him what's wrong and she starts to cry.
"You need love tough enough to count on, so here I am."
I think this means that no matter what happens, he'll be her rock and will always be there for him.

Cry with you by Hunter Hayes is about him telling someone that he will always be open to what they have to tell him and he wont judge them and will help them get through tough times and will always be there no matter what, through the good and the bad and the ugly :p

I know this is probably not what he meant to sing about. But i still can't help but think that this is a perfect song to describe God's relationship's with us. He cries with us, He feels our pain, no one know us the way He does, and He will never leave us (we're not alone).

Cry with you is about a guy liking a girl and he wants to let her know he will always be by her side no matter what happens, like in the lines, "I keep my promises. I'm fighting for you" & "You need love tough enough to count on. SO here I am"
