When I listened to this song my thought was how it's about indigenous people, white people would use to call indigenous people "savages" and I feel like this song is about how Indigenous people have gone through so much hate and been called names and been told to "speak English" and not their language, but after all of that, they still stand and will rise up to speak out about the racism they face. But that's just what I thought you might have a different view point.

I believe there is an undeniable connection of global warming and the attitude and words conveyed in the song.

The song talks about the struggles we undergoe in life where people around us say many sorts of things about our destiny even as we struggle to succeed .It teaches that we should avoid being trapped by dogma _which is living as a result of other people's thinking .

The song is about having really fun moments which later on crash into moments of sadness. However, as he sings, "When we hit the bottom then it goes up," he means that with those sad moments happier or greater moments bloom.

I see the songs lyrics as the essence of niehilistic thought. Rising and falling have the same significance. The young people were not driven by a nihilist will to power they were driven by a lethargic rebellion that seemed to have no real root cause other than irritation and sarcasm. Like nihilist thought life has no real meaning or a true sense of morality. The lyrics follow in that paradigm. With that said the song is a brilliant account of the soul of many young people today. It is incredibly thought provoking and powerful in its message. I wonder what the future will be like controlled 'rise' young people

this song probably talks about the criticism that teenagers have to face.it has a hard hitting reply to all the haters out there,we basically don't care and are going to live our lives on our own terms.this then also goes on to describe how people just make assumptions about us 'they know it all'. the song has great meaning and has inspired many teens to move on with life not caring about the insults. it gives us the motivation and the confidence to go to the top and always stand by each other.there is nothing about us that we are going to change everyone might think that we are savages or dropouts but their opinion is'int going to change our lives.LIVE LIFE THE WAY YOU WANT TO, NO ONE CAN CHANGE THE WAY YOU WANT TO WRITE YOUR DESTINY,ENJOY LIFE BE KIND AND LOVE EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE!!!!
