This is the only song that truly speaks of my feelings about my husband. If only I could fly to where he is, if only for a while to see him smile. I do feel him all around me and cherish each memory of him and all we had as husband and wife. I still love and miss him every day in every way. I’m so thankful for “To Where You Are”. For me it reminds me of our two children Paul & Danielle and our granddaughter who were only 37,36,and 23 respectively.All of them took their lives and the pain was and still is horrendous. This song always makes me cry but it also reminds me there just a breath away. Can’t thank you enough Josh. God Bless

I once heard this song was written in memory of the lives lost in the 9/11 attack. That explanation makes perfect sense. Every time I hear it I feel like I'm listening to a tribute to all those lost. Very emotional!

My beloved dog died this year & I am lost without him. When I listen to the words of this song I feel closer to him. I don’t think the song is only about human loss. Many of us know the agony of losing a much loved pet, & the words of this song could certainly apply to that loss as well.

Read all the other interpretations and they all seem very authentic. I lost my wonderful, loving husband of 47 years to cancer 9 months ago, and this song (while it makes me very emotional when I listen to it) has been a Godsend. I listen to it often, and it reminds me that my husband is still here and watching over me. I do believe that angels breathe.

My mother was dying in hospice house and our friend heard this song and told us to download it. My father had died 6 months before and they were married 49 years. She said she had a broken heart. We played this for 2 days before she died, it is what true love is all about. We had a friend song it at her funeral and someone told me they saw angels take her to heaven. Thank you Josh for this amazing song.

I believe this song refers to all the signs loved ones give us after their deaths. After my husband died,I felt him all around me.There were visitations through dreams where he showed me his body being whole again after years of fighting cancer. And many ,many more signs. I'm a believer in the phrase that '"a breath away's not far to where you are".

I feel it means that as all humans we reach for a concrete reason after the loss of a loved one. But as spiritual beings, we KNOW that after our loved ones pass on, only the earthly body is gone. That soul/spirit that made them who they were is still with us. My Grandmother when I asked her where we go when we die told me to look up at the night sky and all those little points of light are the souls of those that went before us. I learned in school later we are all made of "stardust". It even says in the song that "you are watching over me...". I just lost my Mom 10 months ago and I need her she is there.

I think this song is about maybe grieving over a loved lost one. this song reminds me very much of a bay area girl named Allison bayliss. The part"who can say for certain,maybe you're still here, I feel you all around me, your memories so clear, deep on the stillness, I can hear you speak, you're still an inspiration, can it be" reminds me a Lott of her because she ran away may 23,2011 and was claimed may 25,2011 that she had taken her own life on the golden gay bridge. if only she k ew hownmany people grieved over her loss and how many people came to her vigil because we all miss her. We all cared. I hope your still out there alloy. We love you. And we miss you terribly.

I think it is about a man whose wive hast passed away and he believes she is watching over him like and angel as he really misses her.
