Judas Priest: A Touch Of Evil Meaning
Song Released: 1991
A Touch Of Evil Lyrics
Till I cant believe my eyes
Ecstasy controls me
What you give just serves me right
Without warning youre here
Like magic you appear
I taste the fear
Im so afraid
But I still feed the flame
In the night
Come to...

I think that all of you points are valid but I think that it is about something the main person can't have. as an example the line "Without warning you're here,Like magic you appear" is describing something that this person want's but can have and it haunts them. To go more in depth the the lines "Aroused with desire,You put me in a trance,A vision of fire,I never had a chance" most likely refers to you facing your biggest challenge.

For me the song is clearly referring to Halfords homosexuallity. Back in 1990 it was not that easy to live open with this, it was kind of forbidden and not accepted in society. So his feelings towards men are the "evil" touch (or just the sexuall touch of a man). He cant fight back, because these feelings are just natural for him, so he is "posessed". The lyrics at 4:10 says: "Arousing me now with a sense of desire", but it sounds a lot like he is singing "sex of desire", which is not female but male.
-
It’s about the lead singers sexuality. He is homosexual so he was referring to himself and when he goes out at night to fulfill his lustful needs.
-
About his struggles
-
It's about religion, the touch of evil that indoctrinates the masses. From the images in the video clip it compares religion and the church to a circus.
-
The song is about forbidden man love.
-
This song sounds a lot like a succubus visit to me...even though they don't steal your soul (contrary to popular belief)
-
You moron, the song uses symbolism.
"Touch of evil" is referring to sex. This guy was totally cool before meeting her, and when he slept with her he couldn't get over her. -
This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway
