The War is Over Lyrics

I watch the days rush
by me like a river.
I shouldn't wait,
but I'm scared to touch the water.
I let the phone ring
Why won't you believe me?
I wait for silence
It takes a lot not to answer.

All I have to say is
You don't deserve...

This just could possibly be the best theme song as it implies Game Over. I think she should have extended it to include how all men see a woman asa conquest and are incapable of genuine love. Its quite sad.

Total girl anthem and should be a warning to all women that every man on the face of the planet is a weasle.

To me - I can really relate to this song, though not in a romantic sense. I've recently been let down by a best friend and since it all happened, I've been thinking over the friendship and realised that I was always the one to back down or to make things right for the sake of peace, even when I shouldn't have been the one to back down. For me, hearing this now, having recently experienced that and realising that sometimes as scary and daunting as it is to walk away from someone you've loved - sometimes it's the best thing for you to do in the end. It really sucks but you can't keep people in your life who can hurt you so much and seemingly not care that they did.
I know in the long run, it'll hurt her more than me and she'll be the one to lose out cause she's thrown away a good friend over her stubborness. It's a crappy situation but this is a beautiful song and I love even more than I did before now I can relate to it better - it's almost empowering in a way.
