the part where it says iam a run baby run means hes gonna runaway from every problem he encounters with said women cause hes not in it for keeps, just to be around for the good times but life outside of where he is with her makes his mind run wild and it takes him away from her mentally. A life of no restriants and no resverations just doing him

It's not that complicated. It's about a guy who lost his love because of his addiction / vice to partying, doing drugs, drinking over the relationship/her. Revelry is a festivity that is marked by noise and drinking. Think rave. He was too distracted with enjoying and "dreaming" of revelry to notice what he would lose until he lost it - her. And now to get through the pain of having lost her, he uses drugs and alcohol to get high and forget. That's what a lot of people do to numb pain - drugs and alcohol to alter the way you're feeling, to numb pain.

I agree with what's been said I think it's even deeper he's definitely having fun it's not cocaine tho it's the real numbing feeling of opium he's talking about for sure. But yeah he's afflicted between two loves knowing he can never be what she deserves bc of his addiction and it stopping him from being the best man he could for her. That's what he meant when he said but the demon and me that he's selfish but he's mourning her bc his selfishness is keeping him from her bc using is selfish and doesn't allow us to be truly selfless bc how are you selfless if your greed led you to dope that only you can feel. So he's killing himself and he realizes that which is why he's crying but he can't stop that's how greed works. I think he's lost in his addiction but he likes it and feels guilty bc it's doc prescribed so he's been directed to use so he's confused but he knows it's wrong and he loves the irony bc of the greed that makes him escuse what he knows to be wrong just like society he's in a bliss with himself bc it's like a perfect storm as he's instructed by law almost to do wrong but he likes the feeling the numb so he embraces it and in so embraces evil that brings it. Being the man of God he is he knows better but his sinful nature allows him to and pushes him even to continue down the path of the unrighteous. This man must be truly torn and I completely understand his struggle it's amazing that he can see it so clearly he must be a very wise man. Oh and btw this is the brother Caleb singer and guitarist who is second oldest of 4 and likely a great brother if what he's saying is really how he feels. Probably my favorite album of all time. Great fucking song man I heard this album 7 years ago for the first time and it's still the best. Start to finish.

hes basically having fun and whatever hes having fun doing hes sort of addicted to, enough to cause him to lose the girl.

I still feel full of pain" the girl misses him and it its hurting the both of them. its hurting him because hes causing her pain.

he askes about her because apparently they have no connections to each other, because he ruined the relationship.

hes describing himself, how hes enjoying himself when hes at a "revelry". just know it was you that had a hold of my heart, just know that i love you but he cant let go of that lifestyle. dreaming of revelry is dreaming of having youre freedom and happiness. this song can describe the lifestyle of a artist like himself, or unhappy married couple. they love the person but they dream of freedom, or revelry. -
This song is about being with someone who is codependant. That person wants you to be perfect dispite your difficencies and the song is about the internal battle you have between your subconscience and this persons wants. You know you want to please this one who is unpleasable but you still try and try and try and eventually you rend up resenting that person and dreaming of being free to do as you so wish or dream of Revelry. This song explains what you are going through with an insecure person.

I am not sure which band member this refers to, but one of them had an addiction to painkillers throughout the making of this album. It is about not being able to give the one you love your full self due to afflictions with addiction. I think he ultimatley loses her. "And I told myself for the way you go, rained so hard it felt like snow." I can relate to every word in this song.
