Lamb of God: Walk With Me In Hell Meaning

Album cover for Walk With Me In Hell album cover

Song Released: 2006

Walk With Me In Hell Lyrics

Pray for blood, pray for the cleansing
Pray for the flood, pray for the end
Of this nightmare, this lie of a life
Came as quickly as it can dissolve

We seek only reprieve
And welcome the darkness
The myth of a meaning
So lost and forgotten

Take...

Actually about Mark and his wife going through a real dark time in their lives, and through the strength of the their love and their marriage, they 'walked' together in their own 'hell'. Being someone who has walked the same road as they have, this song is very sentimental to me.

Anyone who thinks this is about organised religion is just as delusional.

From interview with LOG guitarist Mark Morton:
"Walk With Me in Hell is a really special song too and it's kind of misinterpreted because of the title but again it's a very personal song and almost a love song to my wife and the power of having someone next to you no matter how bad things get. Again hopefully it's one of those solos that you could hear and identify as being me."

It means don't base your life on ancient religion that try's to control who you are and are. It's just as evil if not more (petiphile priest, control and war for religion, pay to be saved, politics and etc....) That's what is ultimately going to be our demise. if living free and dependent is evil? We'll then walk with me in hell!

The Hellthat he refers to is that of life " Take hold of my hand, for you are no longer alone" Talks of how someone is feeling alone and you help them through life, it's quite a deep song. Nothin religion based.

It's actually a love song written by Mark for his wife, and it about that even when the world feels like a living hell,he has something to hold his hand with and walk through this hell, and he is never alone anymore

it's about not being dependent on organized religion, and breaking away from it. he's telling people it's alright to not follow religion, because you're not alone, and he invites you to walk with him in hell.

the song talk about codependency there are no satanic references what so ever. its a tendency to behave in overly passive or excessively care taking way that negatively impacts one relationship and quality of life
