    why would he pay them for the song? After a number of years, property artistic creations become public domain. It's not like he did something illegal.

    Is an old blue song, the first or second version of the lemon sign, I’m not sure which one they recorded first but it’s just a great old blues song, just like all the blues songs they ripped off and didn’t give the songwriters a nickel. I love Led Zeppelin Jimmy page but he did rip a lot of people off
