Davidian Lyrics

Blind man ask me forgiveness
I won't deny myself
Disrespect you have given
Your suffering's my wealth
I feed off pain, force fed to love it
And now I swallow whole
I'll never live in the past
Let freedom ring with a shotgun blast

Burn...

I Know the title definitely was Inspired by The Waco Massacre, I assume the lyrics Have to do with struggling with ones own blind Faith, while fighting against oppression. Cyanide blood burns down the skyline, is reminiscent of the People including children being burned alive in the Waco Compound. Let freedom ring with a shotgun blast the first time its Said makes me think of them standing against the oppression of the ATF, the second time around I imagine its fron turning the gun on themselves Rather than being burned alive.
Just my interpretation since Robb has been reluctant to speak on it outside of just being "Violent Poetry"

it has to do with trials and tribulations and eventually finding your way out through forgiveness; along with accepting life the way it is. As for the title, Davidian, it may be refering to David from the Bible, who had through struggle through so many obstacles that he had to overcome. Although, Robb has stated that the title was inspired by the Waco siege, the lyrics were referred to as just violent poetry. It is in my opinion that the song may have been a case of automatic writing, which many poets are prone to. The last segment of the lyrics,"scarred, pour the salt into the wound, unscarred" may be referring to a transitional phase, i.e. metamorphases. Perhaps, something along the lines of a spiritual awakening (mystical experience) in which self-knowledge has been obtained along with a higher state of consciousness. this is due to accepting all the negative experiences that have occurred and moving on by using these experiences as a motivating factor to change ones life for the better. Yet, some of the lyrics still remain obscure and somewhat esoteric, such as "cyanide blood burns down the skyline" and "let freedom ring with a shotgun blast"
