    I love it. Idk if this is really an interpretation but I just really need to share this, even if it's about a girl it reminds me about my boyfriend a lot, it makes me feel so strange but I love feeling like this. I don't know what feeling it is but it's a mix of sad and happy, I'm happy I'm finally with him after almost two years, I'm happy I managed to get this lucky. But I'm sad because I can't understand why he loves me and I don't get why'd he'd be into someone like me. I hate myself for thinking he loves me, but I love myself for thinking he loves me. I have no idea. I wasn't sure if he'd actually like a trans dude like me at first but .. I did it. And I'm not sure how to feel about it, I don't have to keep chasing him and running inside of a loop anymore, all I need to do now is stay but it's hard. I love him a lot but it's so hard to tell if he loves me, even if he says "I love you" over text or a 'phone call' I still refuse to believe it. I don't know what's wrong with me, I want to break up with him because it feels like he wants to leave me but he's scared to do it because he knows how much I love him.

    This song is about a man who has a crush on a girl that he finds strange. Strange doesn’t mean bad at all in that case: it could mean she’s got a strange sense of humor, or maybe she came to the party dressed as a penguin.
    He feels she’s from another world because they are very different: they come from different cities, she likes different music and all.
    Nonetheless, he can’t help but feel an attraction for this strange girl: he’s raving in his own world, comes out of the dancefloor and sees her standing. So then he walks towards her, comes very close to her face, sees this strange girl’s lips, and wants to kiss them. But he holds it.
    He’d like to shake her around and around, bring her to his universe. But she’s such a strange girl, she won’t let herself come into his world.
    Long after she goes, he keeps repeating to himself she’s such a strange girl, with this melody over and over. But actually maybe she was just a perfect girl.

    This is a song about a person who finds a girl strange. The lyrics depict that he wants to do random things with her, such as shaking her up and down- symbolising that he wants to learn more about her. Everything she seems to do he doesn't understand, and he finds her strange.
    My own interpretation of his attraction in her because she's strange is that he's strange too, and maybe this girl could be someone just as strange as him.
    Another interpretation is that he's delusional and is stalking this girl that he's so fascinated with, falling in love with her- but I prefer the first one.

    People...this is a cover song from the Cure in 1987 and if you ever read anything at all or watched any interviews, you'd know it's not about some trans dude. Give us a break...

    My interpretation of the lyrics is someone who is not of societal norms whose energy is authentic and hard to come by a rare sight even if it’s not how she looks it’s how she carry herself she’s alluring because she’s actually being herself she’s a individualist and she thinks for herself very confident but as quick as she comes is as quick as she leaves pretty unforgettable presence.

    The video is about trans women and how beautiful they can be. Trans people are a marginalized group of people and are often discriminated against in mainstream media.

    Trans women can appear "strange" to someone who has never met a trans woman. The song is from the perspective of a straight male that is sexually attracted to a trans woman. Realizing that he's falling in love with her.

    i saw the lusic video and i interpret it as like a drag queen or a trans woman who really wants to be a girl but never really feels like they are one. that's why they say "i think i'm falling in love with you" because they mean he is falling in love with the girl he wants to be. and thats why he says "i want to be with you" because he wants to be a girl really bad. he wants to be with that personality. he says "you're such a strange girl, the way you look like you do." because thats how he thinks about himself. he feels like he doesnt look like a real girl and he won't pass as one. and he says he "i want to shake you all around, i want to turn you upside down." like somehow if he moves her the tight way he can finally feel like a woman. but he will never be close enough to being one.
