Josh Ramsay was addicted to heroine when he was 17 and went to rehab. While he was there he was asked to write a love letter to his drug about why he needed it or rather why he thought he needed it. Lover Dearest was inspired by the letter. It was the first song Josh ever produced. It was supposed to be on their first album "Fix Me" but Josh wasn't satisfied with how it sounded so he perfected it and put it on Masterpiece Theatre. He's said its the hardest song for him to sing.
While in rehab he realized music meant more to him than drugs so he gave it up and he's where he is now. -

It says " This place is a hole, and i dont want to go, i wish we could stay here forever alone" Is mainly about his heroine addiction. When he was 17, he was a heroine addict.
