A Tout le Monde Lyrics

Don't remember where I was
I realized life was a game
The more seriously I took things
The harder the rules became
I had no idea what it'd cost
My life passed before my eyes
I found out how little I accomplished
All my plans denied

So...

I'm pretty sure it's a suicide song but Dave Mustaine said this about it in 1994...

"It's not a suicide song. What it is, it's, you, it's when people have a loved one that dies and they end on a bad note, you know, they wish that they could say something to them. So this is an opportunity for the deceased to say something before they go. And it was my impression of what I would like to say to people, if I had say, 3 seconds to do so in life before I died I'd say to the entire world, to all my friends, I love you all, and now I must go. These are the last words I'll ever speak, and they'll set me free. I don't need to say I'm sorry, I don't have to say I'm going to miss you, or I'll wait for ya. You know, I'll just say I loved you all, good, bad and different, I loved you all."

This song is actually Dave Mustaine thinking about death not suicide. He said in an interview that the song is his impression of what he thought death would be like. If you could only say one last thing what would it be?

Dave Mustaine wrote this about a time when he attempted suicide: "There were a lot of times when I was lost. In February '93 there was no solution to a temporary problem because I just lost focus. I ate a handful of valiums, and I overdosed... Why I would want to voluntarily kill myself through the use of stuff that's not supposed to do any good for me just makes me rethink my whole way of life right now."

While I do not believe that this song is about suicide and is more about the person dying saying goodbye. I do believe
That lyrics and their meanings can be used by the listener in any way they see fit.
If it helped save a life from suicide or if it allowed someone to say goodbye for eternity, great! Thx for the music Dave!

This song is in the perspective of someone who dies suddenly and never had the chance to say goodbye to everyone he loved.

As far as i know its not about suicide. I remembered hearing it was about death and what someone ( or dave idk ) would say on their deathbed.

It's about suicide. I honestly do not care about what Dave is saying on this one, I believe he tried to make it sound more positive but I mean, just read the lyrics. These are the musings of someone who is getting ready to kill himself. Harsh, but very painful lyrics for someone who's been there. (I have).

It is what it is to the reader/listener. The dark views of many has, I believe, resulted in Dave spinning the meaning toward the light. His religious convictions have changed over the years so let's cheer up and just appreciate the great song it is. Live each day------

It's about death and the struggle of life. That it's so easy to move on in death but so hard on the living to lose a loved one that they want to ensure you that they love you and everything is ok now that they are at peace.

dave muistaine wrote this song about death. and how painful it can be not only to the deceased person's spirit, but to the living people who new him or her. it says in the song" if my heart was still alive i know it would surely break and my memories left with you there's nothing more to say, moving on is a simple thing what it leaves behind is hard, you know the sleeping feel no more pain, and the living all are scarred ".

He's talking on behalf of Kurt Cobain.

Dudes, you guys are so close but.... It's about an old man(like the guy above said) wanting to tell his loved ones that he loves them! so yeah, but its probably one of the best Megadeth songs ^^
