Drama Club Lyrics

Everyone's so soft, everyone's so sensitive
Do I offend you? You're hanging on my sentences
You can keep your costume and you can keep your mask
I'ma take a bow so you can kiss my ass
I never signed up for your drama
Up for your drama, up...

Makes me think of gossip and rumors. Could be about her, maybe referencing other people.

There’s also the idea that other people need to toughen up to stuff like the truth or anything that relates to opinions.

This song shows how crybaby doesn't wanna fake or pretend anything, she wants to be herself, it also says that she is forced to perfect but she does not want to be the perfect princess, so basically its about her not wanting to pretend or fake anything!

Drama club is about how being forced to do something like dressing up or hiding everything about you from the world like referring to the line in sippy cup “Kids are still depressed when you dress them up”and how your following someone’s orders or commands

It's about cis men fetishizing a girl that cooks and cleans, they always want a girl who does things they want. They want us to be a doll and not have feelings.

"Drama Club" is not actually a class for theater the way Melanie/Crybaby sings about it. "Everyone's so soft, everyone's so sensitive Do I offend you? You're hanging on my sentences...You're over-analyzing every word I say There's a whole world out there, you're living a play," simply talks about how dramatic people can be at school and how your words can be easily twisted. Melanie/Crybaby blocks out the drama and tries to get as far away from it as possible ("You can keep your costume and you can keep your mask
I'ma take a bow so you can kiss my ass," and, "I never signed up for your drama
Up for your drama, up for your drama club...")

Its kinda like her life is a play. She doesn't want the role she assigned based on others interpretations, hence "I never signed up for your drama club" Everyone else is happy to hide in their costumes and behind their scripts instead of being who they want to be as it may be something society dosn't like.

I feel that the song is about how some students pretend to be someone they're not. Crybaby begins to feel pressured when she sees herself constantly judged for everything she says

I think it's about her expressing herself and then when she does gets hated on and that she doesn't want anything to do with all the hatred like in her phrase "I never signed up for you drama" so STOP HATING ON HER LIKE JEEZ lol

Drama club is about cry baby having to fake stuff and how her parents and people only like her for her fake personality she’s cant ever be herself when it says “do u even have a brain ur faking all ur pain yeah ur bleeding on a stage “ that means they don’t see her for who she truly is the ur faking all ur pain yeah ur bleeding on a stage is about other people who also have Similar problems and feel they have to have a fake persona to be liked they. They also feel like they can’t be themselves without being judged.”Everyone so soft everyone’s so sensitive do I offend u “ means that people try to make others (cry baby) seem like a bad person she doesn’t want to be a fake doll but people get offended by this they don’t value her for who she is. However cry baby gets tired of people not being themselves for others who could never care. this also refers to toxic friends when cry baby shows her true persona they get mad and start rumors about her. She also talks about how pepole fake their sadness and depression “hiding behind a script “ for attention we never see what she truly thinks

People are saying how the song is about her opinion and things like that. I agree but there is another way you could look at it. I could be about her not wanting to live her life the way people expect. An example would be: if people wanted her to be a teacher or something. And get married. But she wouldn't want to live that basic (i hope u get what I'm trying to say). It would almost be like living a play. Everyone knows whats going to happen and what crybaby is going to do in her life. But she doesn't want to do that.

Honestly I feel like it’s about religion and how it’s forced on people. People live their life through the “script”(bible) and Mel/crybaby wants nothing to do with it. She wants to live under her own rules

This song is about how Melanie can't say anything without having someone offended by her. This happened to me and my friends, friends A and B lied to me and friend C. I'm still friends with A and B, just not as good friends we used to be. I mostly hang out with friend C. (Just so you guys know they lied to us cause they were always offended by friend C. Who was always nice to them.)

Feel like it's about Twitter, cause of how much shit everyone gets there for everything there. Especially celebrities.

I think its about maybe toxic friends? K-12 is supposed to be set in a school so maybe she’s suggesting about ‘friends’ who only befriend you to create drama and learn information to gossip and those who expect you to change yourself for them and fit into their ‘friend standards’ or whatever

I think that this song is about how she is tired of hiding her personality in the phrase “ your always hiding behind your wizard of oz disguise.

When I first listened to this song it made think of dystopian paradise that makes everything seem perferct but one person doesn't wanna be perferct.

Crybaby is tired of people 'hiding behind a script' and faking everything. They try to fit in by making their whole life a play. Crybaby wants them to realize that there's a whole world out there, not just them. People also fake pain for attention. Crybaby doesn't want to be a part of the drama, and doesn't want to live a play or follow a script.

I think Drama Club is how Crybaby is sick of people 'hiding behind a script' and acting different to fit in. They hide who they really are with make-up and designer clothes. They fake pain for attention, and their whole life is basically just an act. They're just repeating everything they do over and over. Crybaby doesn't want to pretend to be someone else and thinks that people should realize that there's a whole world out there, not just them. She seems to always be dragged into the drama, and she stands up for herself, saying she never wanted to be a part of it. The more I explain it, the more it sounds like 'Dollhouse', except instead of a dysfunctional family, it's a student (normally a teenager) wanting to fit in.
