King Nothing Lyrics

Wish I may
Wish I might
Have this I wish tonight
Are you satisfied?
Dig for gold
Dig for fame
You dig to make your name
Are you pacified?

All the wants you waste
All the things you've chased

Then it all crashes down
And you break...

    Its like the french revolution
The king was cocky he over spent owed to many people. In the end they killed him and everyone around him. They dismantled the bastille. But the people weren't careful of what they wished either. They got the power yet the same fate befell them as well.

I think its about a person who has to much power going to his head. He then realizes that when something bad happened in his kingdom that he lost his crown. It was his fault that things went wrong in his kingdom, so he is finding a way to blame it on someone else when he really cant.

Some kid spends his whole life wanting nothing but to be a king, One day he actually becoms ruler of a kingdom. He completely messes up and the kingdom goes to ruin. Sorta Like Mcbeth.

Yeah I agree I just finished reading Shakespeares Macbeth for English class and when I heard this song it seemed as though they were referring to the plot of the story and how Macbeth ended up dead because of unfairly gaining his power... Just my thoughts anyways

it is about how if you live your life building up your possesions that it eventually crashes down on you. For example, King Midus had the ability to turn whatever he touched to stone he ended up killing his daughter and starving because when he touched his food it became gold and he could not eat it

I agree that it's about materialism, but not neccessarily rich people. It applies to all people who think that gaining more will make them happy, when in the end they will have nothing.

This song is saying that all the rich people with there perfect little lives and there fancy living will soon crash down he is referring to rich people like kings saying "wheres your crown" meaning when its all gone your "absolutely nothing"
