I've Got It All (Most) Lyrics

ive got it all most
ive got it all almost all figured out
but always when i get there
always when i get there all the pieces they just fall apart

i cant hear you
i cant hear you talk about your dreams involving me
i dont believe

I think this song is about the fact that there are two ways that life can go and here he is just stuck in the middle. "hey there mr sweet and awful this is not a party this is a crowd." I believe the saying is two is company and three is a crowd, if so then the third person must be him. The one thing he can't predict is the future but he can be sure whatever he is trying to do will work or it won't work "ive got it all almost all figured out but always when I get there always when I get there all the pieces they just fall apart." Life is full of unsuredness "I can't hear you talk about your dreams involving me I don't believe I don't believe that they are any sort of prophecy at all." Because nobody can predict the future because it is all random and filled with unforseen difficulties. "don't look so pissed off we all lose the plot occasionally" there are just some things you can never plan on.

I think he is talking about himself and his inability to predict the future even though he, like we all, try to all the time. "how consistant how can someone so consistantly mess up as much as every instance how can someone inconsistant mess up so consistantly." We all choose our own fate by whatever means we deam fit, regardless of wheather or not we truly understand the wholistic aspect. "carry yourself away with a delicious disease"

I love this song! I believe it's a about a man with an alter ego ("What a shock, it's Mr. Sweet and Awful"). One side of him is "sweet" and the other side is pessimistic. I think also it's like he's trying to get rid of the pessimist within him and reassure himself that it's okay ("Don't look so pissed off, we all lose the part occasionally")("Carry yourself away with a delicious disease). He doesn't quite know how to rid himself of Mr. Awful ("I've got it all, almost all, figured out").
