   The band has said one of the members wrote this song after his father passed away, so it is about death. I believe the song is an interpretation of the grieving process, the lines about being lost and "the hours I can't weep". I think the line "Keep the earth below my feet" means to keep grounded and "Let me learn from where I have been" means he wants to learn from the experience and use it to be a better person. When grieving the loss of someone dear it take a lot of time, and others don't always understand why we are still grieving, so I think "And I was still but I was under your spell
   When I was told by Jesus all was well
   So all must be well" is actually a sarcastic statement. People try to make you feel better after a loss, sometimes saying the stupidest things, but mostly you hear "they are in a better place" or "it's God's will". I think these lines mean they were still grieving (under your spell) but someone gave them some "advice" and poof, they should be better, "so all must be well". This line is also sung in the next verse, and this I think is now a loved one, possibly a girlfriend wanting her "old" boyfriend back "give me time I know your desires and mine...for I must be well". Again he thinks everyone thinks he should be back to himself but is not yet done grieving.

   I think this is a song about prayer- maybe reconnecting with faith? amazing song- very uplifting
