Mansion is a representation of our sad mind,most of us are going through a lot, often sad and hear thoughts out loud in our head most of which are of sucide, traumas, anxiety, fear, and depression.We are so sad to the point that even if we finally find happiness it still feels like something's off. NF's case is of his childhood and growing up with a broken soul, although he (nf) and his mom didn't get along too well he still feels guilty for not being there for her on her last days.

I think that this song, is relating to his past, but in general terms, it's about being trapped in your mind, which is filled with worry, regret, anxiety, and bad memories of the past, similar to Alec Benjamin's "Mind is a Prison", where his mind is filled with intrusive thoughts such as suicide and depression, but not so much his past like NF since he had a troubling childhood
For short, his mind is like a mansion, and within the rooms of the mansion aka his mind, lies a troubling memory of the past/his childhood
he's basically saying that he's trapped in his mind. -

Mind which he calls mansion and what is in his mind ,he also talked about things that has happened to him in his life .he talked about fear how it came into his mind (mansion).

We're his lyrics show on the wall and he is trying to ignore them bc gets sick to his stomach with all the regrets and he sees them all over the floors and the walls but it's the room he sleeps in so he is trapped and he might as well read them anyway he won't let noone in bc of trust issues and doesn't want anyone to have the chance to hurt him God tells him he is free he can go and he is forgiven but fear has came years ago and he got comfortable he has a choice let him sit there and eat him alive or put fear the (Devil) back outside were he came from but fear of opening the door stops him he doesn't know what to do a anymore but is running out of options

He refers his mind as a mansion and each room has a different memory like one is when his mom passed away and another one is when he got abused by his mother’s boyfriend.
He mentions how he is stuck in his own conscience, but he can leave at any moment he just need to open up show what he feels and ask people to help him but he is scared, scared because he thinks that people are going to hurt him more than he already is.
People try to avoid what they feel they try to distract themselves to not think about but let's be honest it never works.

Nf always had a bad relationship with his mom because she was addicted to opioid or pills but when he realised his mom was dying and he felt guilty for not answering the phone and not spending time with his mom.
He is scared to let anyone open the door to his emotions.

I think it is about his abuse that his mother's boyfriend did to them when he was younger. It is also about how his mom left him from overdose in 2009, and he doesn't want to share his emotions with people out of fear of trusting them. He is telling of how it affects him. It is how he is finally overcoming his pain sort of.
(When he was younger he was abused by his mom's boyfriend. He was finally taken by his father to be safe. Shortly after,his mom overdosed in 2009.)
