This song is one of my favourites (Im Canadian that is the correct spelling for "favourite" here)lol anyway, at Christmas my mom was really sick and almost passed on, but this song and "In Christ alone" really helped me. -
I think that the main thing it's talking about is that even though some not-so-good things happen (brother stuffs snow down coat, and ending up with socks), keeping positive and upbeat. It could also just be a poem about winter and Christmas.
