   The song is about a not so ideal situation that Brendon Urie really can't escape but he embraces it anyways. "I'm not a betting man but this is a sure thing" This lyric makes him seem that he doesn't plan the future but the experiences he did turn towards the bitersweet relationship.

   Of holding your hair back in a bathroom stall"
   
   This is Urie saying how he exhausted his options saying "you may say I have seen it all" Some may argue that he can get out of a broken relationship but after all the adventuring he has done through he life Brendon argues that dealing with his hungover girlfriend is a good situation by his standards.
   
   Hence the song name and the main chorus "Bittersweet" he compares the relationship to a sweet relationship that is also bitter, the two relationships are mutual enough where he can admit to loving the weird combination. and also of the chorus is saying "I guess that's how its gotta be" and "that were pulling teeth"
   
   But he loves the relationship and he likes to talk about even though its supposed to be secret, which makes Brendon in this weird infatuation that makes him naive.I'm guessing he isn't used to this kind of relationship where he has to keep things in secrecy because he revealed he likes to talk, when he has an open person when the girl in the song is introverted and demurring most likely because of the abuse she lives with.

   well i'm german so sorry for my english, but let's get into it anyway
   soo i think brendon is singing about a really weird relationship, between a girl and a boy, kind of a love-hate relationship. or they are frenemies. you know, she tells him secrets and because ''he loves to speak'' he tells everybody about them and hurts her. but i also think that she is a bitch, she makes him look bad (I don't think I can take the way you make me out to be). additional i think that the song shows the two sides of a statement. like when he says that he feels all warm when she is around, which sounds like a nice thing, but in fact it's only warm because she's burning. and as the chorus says: everything he does is bittersweet. and if i may take it on: kind of everything is bittersweet. like everything in life. sooo, this song isnt really a love song :D send it more to that fucking bitch you hate the most and never had the nerv or the balls to tell her face to face. :D

   Personally, I think Bittersweet is about a toxic relationship that Brendon refuses to leave. He feels like he can't do any better than the person he's singing about, so he stays with them. The relationship seems draining to both of them, but they both tough it out.

   Don't Jude if I get this wrong but... I think bittersweet is when you love someone but when you try to do something for her or him,you seem bitter...but him or her would know you were trying to be sweet. (Kinda explains my life..)..eg. Your boy friend or crush tells you a secret but you unknowingly say it again to your friend..that my seem bitter but him or her would know it wasn't to hurt them
