It is talking about an unhealthy relationship. In the first verse he talks about how he is deeply in love with this girl and is trying to tell himself it is more than it is. He wants to complicate her. He is twisting allegories (a symbol through physical meaning, like a pendant as a symbol for their love).
Im chasing rollercoasters. He knows that their relationship is a peak and low type of relationship. He is currently trying to keep her close so is either at bottom or the top.
Now it switches to the girls perspective. She admits she was too wild to control, kind of like a rollercoaster.
Switch back to the guy for the chorus. He knows that its over and her coming is sealing it. The crown is a symbol for his burden of control which has evaded his grasp. Give me one last kiss because our relationship is over.
He is fixated on her to the point of psychosis. He has anxiety over her because of how wild their relationship is. He wanted their love to be like a story and she replies you never could control me again.

i think it's about brendon and dallon missing what the band used to be, missing the relationships that went away when they split. maybe he misses ryan/jon because they connected him to his childhood/the begining of the band, maybe a period of his life he misses. "you never could control me" "don't let me do this to myself" i think those lines sort of mean brendon thinks it was his fault for having such creative differences with ryan and jon (causing the band to split), and maybe he thinks it's not too late to salvage the band, telling them (ryan, jon, dallon) not to let him ruin the band (maybe for his own sake). "i never really thought that you'd come tonight while the crown hangs heavy on either side" maybe he saw ryan and/or jon appear at his wedding, thinking they wouldn't come, and that brendon thought maybe ryan was going through the same emotions as he was regarding the split and its consequences ("while the crown hangs heavy on either side").

This really strikes me as Romeo & Juliet, honestly. He didn't think she'd come, tonight, while the crown hangs heavy on the other side. They're too young to die, yet they both showed up to drink the poison.

I actually have a rather different interpretation than the more obvious meaning. Panic has used the sexual allegory "little deaths" before (in That Green Gentleman (Things Have Changed)), so I think perhaps the word "die" in this song could have a slightly less literal (littler, if you will) meaning. Thus, I believe that the whole song has a double meaning, one being the meaning identified by other commenters here, and the other about two young lovers losing their virginity and trying to find the boundary between love and lust. If this seems like too much of a stretch, allow me to explain.
In the first verse, the narrator is speaking about how list seems to be boosting his overall attraction to his love interest. Here is the line by line breakdown:
"I've never so adored you"
The introductory phrase that surmises the verse; the narrator feels as though their feelings have reached a higher level of passion.
"I'm twisting allegories now"
A potential hint at the death/orgasm allegory that I'm basing the interpretation off of. The narrator is so overwhelmed with emotional that it feels simultaneously orgasmic and fatal.
"I want to complicate you"
The narrator wants to have sex with their love interest, but views taking their virginity as "complicating" them, as is in alignment with the traditional beliefs Urie himself grew up on. Taking the love interest's virginity would be tampering with the simple virgin purity, making the person more complicated.
"Don't let me do this to myself"
It would hurt the narrator to spoil their lover's innocence, but the narrator can't think of any other adequate way to express the level of their passion even though it would hurt them. Thus, they are reaching out to their love interest, wanting to be stopped before instinct leads to regret.
"I'm chasing rollercoasters"
The narrator's human legs are unequipped for them to adequately keep track of the emotional rollercoaster, but they're trying to keep up nonetheless because...
"I've got to have you closer now"
... they want to get closer to their love interest, and they need to keep up with their emotions in order to figure out whether that want would best be expressed physically (through sex) or emotionally (through courtship)
Now we get to the pre-chorus and chorus. In the these parts, I believe the narrator is attempting to acknowledge that they don't know if they are ready for sex, but they know that they need to do something and they're not going to procrastinate, so they wish to put as much passion as they can into a kiss before they decide that they're ready to have sex.
"Endless romantic stories,
You never could control me"
In these lines I think the narrator is actually addressing the said "romantic stories" and proclaiming that they would always act before getting lost in fantastical daydreams; the narrator refuses to get caught up in their fantasies and miss the chance to make them real.
"Well I never really thought that you'd come tonight"
This is a double meaning within a double meaning. The narrator discovers that their love interest reciprocates the lust and is surprised, but is also equally surprised that the love interest agreed to meet with them in the first place.
"While the crown hangs heavy on either side"
Just as the "little deaths" allegory was taken from Shakespeare, this line is inspired by Shakespeare's quote "uneasy lies the head that wears the crown," which is often repeated as "heavy is the head that wears the crown." This quote in the context of the song symbolises the difficult decision the narrator is faced with, and the fact that the crown hangs heavy on either side means that it is not a matter of chosing the best of two evils, but a matter of choosing between two good options that both have great merit (thus the scale is balanced with large amounts of prescious items ("the crown") on either side).
"Give me one last kiss while we're far too young to die,
Far too young to die"
The titular and culminating lines of the song, in this section the narrator recognises that both them and their partner may not be ready for sex ("far too young to die," with the orgasm being the "little death") but they may be ready too, or their lust may overpower them and cause them to have sex before they are ready. Thus, the narrator wants to put their passion into a kiss, but they acknowledge that this kiss could lead to something more, which is why it's their last kiss while they're far too young to die (even if the kiss doesn't lead to sex, it will mark a progression that will cause them to be more ready for sex than they were before because that last kiss is more lustful than their previous ones).
The only two remaining lines to analyse in the song are as such:
"Fixation or psychosis,
Devoted to neurosis now"
The narrator doesn't care whether it's a specific fixation or a full-blown psychosis, either way they're committed to their neurotic, lustful feelings and they will find a way to express them.

I think this song is about going literally crazy over a girl because psychosis means when people lose some contact with reality. This might involve seeing or hearing things that other people cannot see or hear (hallucinations) and believing things that are not actually true (delusions) and he is telling her to not let him harm himself this way (hence don't let me do this to myself) and how he says he is devoted to neurosis a relatively mild mental illness that is not caused by organic disease, involving symptoms of stress (depression, anxiety, obsessive behaviour, hypochondria) but not a radical loss of touch with reality.

So my interpretation of this song is that the first four lines are from the guys perspective and he is madly in love with this girl but he is like scared to admit it. Then the next two lines are either him singing to past lovers or the girl's perspective. The chorus is the guy surprised that she showed up like he thought she'd play him. And the line "give me one last kiss while we're far too young to die" makes me think they are in the "honeymoon phase" of a relationship and the guy wants to just enjoy the happiness before the relationship becomes like serious and painful and hard as well. I guess like before they reach the "downs" of a relationship. I think the second verse is his confusion about whether or not he is in love or in love with the idea of love. I have no idea if any of that makes sense or is true but it's what I think the song means.

I think that the song is about wanting to experience something more than what is happening, yet being drawn back my fierce scarceness.

is him not knowing the fate as is while
"one last kiss"
is the sealed ending of the reality ending for the both of them
