   I have no clue how this guy has been making songs that come out at the exact time I'm feeling that way or that is what is going on in my life. Like this one with my separated wife and my little girl that I love so much that I don't have the words. But I met Eddie once but always listened and grew up to his music, then I moved to Maui lived in Paia. Then I hear he's living there. It's just weird that I guess we are going thru the same shit since the 1990s.

   He was the love of her life, and she of his, but he never got to tell her because he was too wounded and couldn't be vulnerable to her. And then the sirens came for him too soon, "Want you to know

   His love for his daughter, and the realization that someday she will grow up and things will not remain the same as. He eludes to the need and comfort that he finds in knowing that his daughter is safe when he hears the sirens, but worries and fears for her when the sirens come for him. We all worry about our children and their preparedness upon our demise.
   He also eludes to "not caring" before the arrival of his daughter, as well as "dancing in the laughter with the everafter". Our children dramatically change our lives, and make us more careful or less careless in regards to our own demise. I love the song, as well as the message!

   The song is clearly about Eddie's life and the love for his wife and daughter but is also wrote loosely from the book The Road Less Traveled by Peck. There's a lot of lyrics from the song that are straight out of the book.

   Nah its more than that..... When listen i hear eddies.... Pain, his regrets.... For me its a song of regret.... I love pearl jam.... But for me.... I see eddies sadness... In his lyrics... In his work.. And at times in his face.... But at the same time.... Hope.... His is truly remarkable expressing his opinions... Whether its his own life... Or just the idea of something going different..... Past... Future... Present... It doesn't matter... Nothing last forever... But All things change....
